Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best recognized for her roles performed on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an American actor also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. She began her career as an actor in theater before going on to make appearances in numerous TV series, mainstream and independent films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. She began her career as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. Her stage credits include The Broadway performance of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to her career in movies the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. Her part as a character in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
