Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning program "New Day," as well as a Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the board of trustees at Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota, who has been journalist for more than thirty years, was a reporter for news and events worldwide and across the country. The award she received was one Emmy Award in her early career for covering the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award after she broke the devastating news of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford is now an honorary board member after serving on the board for 7 years. Anna Czekaj Farber, who currently serves as chair of the Westport board having served on it since 2013, is an incoming board member. CzekajFarber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who served as the board's chair until October 2015. She has continued as a board member since. There 26 trustees are on the board of The Playhouse.
